Fiddling Around Blues

Fiddling Around Blues is an original piece at the Grade 1 level. It includes foot stomps and “chunking” on the off beats for the upper strings. The students need to play with swung 8th notes. It’s a great piece to teach that concept the the chord progression of the 12-Bar Blues. The lower strings also get to play the melody, so it is fun for all students!
The music also comes with an mp3 of a Strum Machine accompaniment that you can use in class. This recording is for working on the orchestra arrangement.
